Volunteer Opportunities
Community Restorative Justice has relied on volunteer and in-kind support from our beginning stages to current time. Our volunteers are dedicated individuals committed to restoring lives affected by crime through the process of Victim Offender Dialog.
There are many different ways to volunteer with Community Restorative Justice:
- Facilitating Victim Offender Dialog cases.
- Serving on the Board of Directors.
- Acting as a liaison to community organizations, businesses, and agencies.
- Planning or working on fund-raising projects.
Serving on Board Committees (Public Relations and Marketing, Program Development).
Writing newsletters/promotional materials.
- Or, any other skills you may have to offer?
In order to qualify, a volunteer facilitator needs to complete an application, attend an interview, complete a 20 hour training class, and serve as a co-facilitator in several cases. Training is free if you volunteer for our organization and is conducted on an as-needed basis.
To become a volunteer, please evaluate what type of volunteer position you would like by identifying areas of interest, the skills or talents that you would like to bring to your volunteer experience and the amount of time you would like to give in service.
Submit an application either on-line or by mail. We will contact you immediately and arrange a personal meeting.
Other ways you can help:
- Letters of support and endorsement.
- Financial and in-kind support.
- Information sharing and collaboration.
- Comments, suggestions, and ideas.
